So the street legal golf cart (aka nerdmobile) was hot wired and stolen, vandalized and found on Wednesday morning at said location

The vehicle was found by buffalo police abandoned with at least $1000 worth of vandalism.  The Buffalo police were kind enough to return it to me where we spent the distracted day wondering 1.  Who would steal the golf cart?  2. Why?  3. Why do all the vandalism damage?

The vehicle (which we assumed inoperable and out of battery…so we thought)   was returned to where it was stolen.  At around midnight THE SAME NIGHT… I received a call from Officer Cierniak (former Damon and Morey paralegal…now police officer) who recognized the vehicle and called me to tell me that she found  the vehicle AGAIN…stolen and in this same place …this time in the possession of a 13 year male (whose name I won’t disclose as  I am sure he will be a fine citizen some day). …oh and he had it plugged into his house….Mystery solved!!! Now the vehicle is in the Seneca Garage and we are trying to figure out where to tow it so this upstanding young man doesn’t jack it again.

Other interesting  facts/ questions:

• Suspect’s mother “didn’t know anything about it”  even though it was plugged in at her residence.
• Suspect is a 7th GRADER at (hold laughter) Futures academy.
• Can an 18 year old claim they are 13 and have no identification?
• How do you even verify that a 13 year old is who he says he is?
• Do you press charges if this kid cant be locked up? and could retaliate with more vandalism or worse?
• Where do you park it now and how do you secure it?
• Is Progressive insurance going to help me with this claim given I have comprehensive coverage?
• Is this Golf cart turning into more of a cost/ distraction than its worth?
• Do I have any sympathy for the young man’s life who is so backward that he has nothing to lose?

My sincere thanks to Buffalo Police who were very helpful throughout this whole ordeal…  especially Officer Duffy & Officer Cierniak.

You could make a living on the corner alone.  I made this video a couple of years ago….no changes  yet.  Today another accident.
